I was invited to represent Australia at the 10th Goeje International Arts Festival to be held in November later this year at the Haegeumgang Theme Museum in Goeje, South Korea. The theme of the festival is "Peace' and we all need more of that at the moment so I diligently sat down and painted a special piece just for the event. I am now informed that the work will become part of the Contemporary Art Collection permanently at the museum, an honour indeed. :)
The intent behind my artwork was to show how light falling from above brings peace and prosperity to the land and the people as it washes over. I used some very special paints that change colour and dimension from different angles so the work changes before your eyes...
My feelings are that the pandemic years have been so difficult for humanity that many people are now depressed and saddened and finding it hard to find joy and happiness in their everyday lives. I trust my artwork will help alleviate some of this sadness as it goes on show both at the festival and the museum. It is titled "Light washes over the land". I do have a partner piece available for any collector that wishes to enquire from me at my studio but you have to visit as I only sell works to real people who see and love the work before they commit.
